MEMBERSHIP
To become a Friends of Read member, simply fill out the form to the right, select type of membership amount, and click submit. You will be taken to PayPal to finalize your transaction. Your generous support is very much appreciated and will be put to good use supporting our wildlife management, conservation, and educational missions!
Fees
- Student/Individual membership $20
- Family membership $50
- Group (Recommended for non-profit groups or organizations, and anyone feeling generous!) $100
- Benefactor (Recommended for small businesses, and anyone feeling very generous!) $250
- Donations (made on this page) of higher amounts are always welcome and very much appreciated. Non-membership.
Mail check Instead
If you prefer, we also accept memberships by mail. (Good option for people without email addresses or PayPal accounts.) Please download the membership application form below. Once complete, please mail the form along with your membership fee to: Treasurer, Friends of Read Wildlife Sanctuary, P.O. Box 548, Rye, NY 10580. We will process your renewals and new memberships. Please allow 2-3 weeks to receive your membership card/gate pass.
Additional Information
- All 2022 Friends of Read Wildlife Sanctuary (FRWS) memberships will expire on December 31, 2022, regardless of the date you become a member. FRWS Members receive a reusable gate pass that allows passage through Playland’s toll gates as well as the gate located near the Dragon Coaster which leads into the Sanctuary.
- A new gate system is being installed. It does not use barcode technology, so EVERYONE IS GETTING A NEW CARD in 2022. Please note that it takes approximately TWO WEEKS to process a membership application and send you a gate pass, but timing may be slower during this transition. We appreciate your patience with us!
- 2023 memberships will begin for anyone registering on or after 9/1/22.
